Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and actor dedicated to telling stories through sound, rhythm, and performance.
Who Is Jacob Nunes?
Jacob Nunes is a 26-year-old multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and actor whose career bridges the worlds of music and performance. Born into a musical family, his father a touring guitarist, Jacob was immersed in live music from an early age. At twelve, he began studying drums, a moment that sparked a lifelong pursuit of storytelling through both sound and character.
His foundation as a versatile musician was built through years of playing in jazz band, marching band, orchestras, pit orchestra, and percussion ensembles. Outside of school, he performed in cover bands, acoustic projects, and original groups, quickly expanding his skills into bass, guitar, and vocals. After high school, Jacob moved to Los Angeles, where he joined an original soft rock band on bass and began his acting career with shorts, commercials, and eventually work on major film and television productions.
That dual path has continued to define his career. As a musician, Jacob has performed everywhere from local venues to large-scale festivals, most notably the 2023 Catbird Festival in Bethel, New York, where he took the stage with Love Crumbs on a lineup alongside The Lumineers and Tyler Childers. Since then, he has contributed to numerous recording projects on drums and bass, and currently performs weekly cover gigs in Boston on guitar and vocals. In addition, Jacob works as a production runner for Live Nation, keeping him deeply connected to the live music world both on and off stage.
As an actor, Jacob has built an equally impressive résumé. Represented by Johnson Talent Agency since 2019, and SAG AFTRA Eligible, he has worked across dozens of film, television, commercial and industrial projects. He continues to audition regularly while studying theater under Scott Edmiston, former dean of the Boston Conservatory.
Now based in Boston, Jacob is completing his degree at Berklee College of Music as a drum set principal with a focus in Music Business Management, studying under legendary drummer Jackie Santos. For Jacob, music and acting are inseparable disciplines, two sides of the same creative drive. Whether on stage, on screen, or in the studio, he is committed to delivering performances that connect with audiences through authenticity, energy, and storytelling.
